Portrait of Robin Görlach
Welcome

Robin Görlach

Technology, projects and topics that have stayed with me over time.

This site brings together work, notes and reflections from IT, Linux, administration, programming, electronics, databases, data analysis and a few other fields.

There are also topics that are not directly technical, but have accompanied me over the years as well.

Quite a bit has accumulated here — perhaps some of it will be useful or interesting, for others as well as for myself.

Focus: Linux, system administration & security, software development, databases, architecture & automation

What this is about

The main focus is on IT, Linux, administration, programming, electronics, databases, data analysis and related technical topics. Alongside that, there are also areas shaped more by everyday life, practical curiosity or a longer interest in particular questions. Not everything belongs in the same drawer, but that is often exactly what makes such collections useful.

IT & Linux

Systems, administration, infrastructure, security and the reliable operation of environments that need to remain understandable over time.

Software & Programming

Examples, ideas and projects around development, architecture, tools, data and the effort to build things in a way that stays maintainable.

Electronics & Technology

Hardware, electronics and technical contexts that have been with me for a long time and keep meeting software in interesting ways.

Everyday practice & other topics

Over time there is also room for other subjects such as travel, cooking or plants — things that are not separate from technology, but simply part of life as well.

Where some of it comes from

Much of this site did not emerge all at once, but accumulated over time. Some of it comes from projects, some from professional contexts, and some simply from curiosity, practical need or the wish to understand things better.

Over the years that has led not only to work and technical notes, but also to tools, reflections and topics I keep returning to.

And otherwise

This site is not a finished project, but more of a collection that keeps growing over time. Some sections are already quite full, others are still at the beginning or waiting to be written out properly. Anyone browsing here will therefore find not only finished things, but also traces of work still in progress.
