A few words about me
I have been working with technology, systems and programming for a long time. Some of it comes from professional work, some from curiosity, and some simply from the need to understand how things actually work.
This site is a place for projects, notes, topics and things I tend to come back to. Much of it has grown over time — some of it casually, some of it with more focus.
How it started
It did not begin with modern systems, but with a programmable calculator and the simple idea of making repetitive work easier. From there it moved through early personal computers, CP/M, Pascal, databases, modems, Unix systems, Linux and web technologies.
That may be part of why it still remains interesting to me: technology changes, but many of the underlying questions remain.
How I approach things
I tend to prefer solutions that remain understandable. Not everything needs to be complex just because it sounds technical. On the other hand, quick shortcuts often create problems later on.
I value clarity, structure and tools that remain useful in the long run. A bit of calm, a bit of structure and some reflection often save more time than rushing does.
What else belongs here
Not everything on this site is purely about IT. Over time, electronics, data, travel, plants, cooking and a few other practical areas found their place here as well.
If you prefer something more concrete
If you would rather look at actual work, ideas and ongoing efforts, you will find a selection on the projects page.
